Woke up on my own to find daylight. Tom never slept. He never really does until the second day. The good news is that the wind picked up but the bad news, it was right on our nose. We were actually being pushed back. We didn’t make it into Great Harbor Cay Marina until after 2pm which was well after our anticipated arrival time. We weren’t going to spend another night night tied up but in the end we were so glad that we did. This is a very well protected marina. The harbour is so tucked in that we almost couldn’t find it. The people who work here are incredibly friendly and kind as is the owner. We were given a hand tying up then told that it was pizza night. For $25.00 we could have a huge pizza with as many toppings as we wanted delivered right to our boat. Just let them know what time and what we wanted on the pizza. Excellent! Without hesitation we ordered. Double excellent is that they have free wifi that actually reaches to the boat. Okay, I know that many find my fixation with wifi to be a little ridiculous but in a few days all will understand why 😉. I have to admit that I was a little sceptical about what “boat” pizza would actually be like but it was much too hot to cook (and we were the ones that in the past would make fun of the sailboats with AC) so we took a chance on the pizza. Yeah! Right at 5:30 a giant, super hot, super fresh, insanely loaded with toppings pizza arrived. Hands down the best pizza that we have ever tasted. A pizza this good calls for rum over ice. Plug in the ice maker and the tv! We should have taken a picture of this thick cheesy bit of heaven but it didn’t last long enough. Part way through the first episode of Hogan’s Hero’s (yes we are that old) it was gone with the exception of two small slices from the vegetarian side that I saved for Tom for lunch. Another Hogan’s Hero’s and an original Magnum PI and we were fast asleep. Not even sure that we saw 8 pm.
